Rebranding Romania’s oldest Art College: “George Enescu” University of Arts, Iasi

2014 has proven to be a time full of creative challenges for us. One of them was redesigning the brand identity for Romania’s oldest Art College, the “George Enescu” University of Arts, from Iasi.
The university is structured into three main fields of study, Music, Dramaturgy and Visual Arts, each of these having a Faculty of its own.
The goal was to create a unique identity system that would allow each field of study to have its visual personality while staying truthful to the University’s brand, as a whole.

We started by analyzing the University’s old logo and discovered that it was constructed using primary elements in terms of form and color. We created the new identity system based on the same principle. The result is a versatile visual style that can be reconstructed in virtually an infinite number of ways.
